Bulk density and C values are the mean of four samples collected in four soil profiles in each of the four sites selected in the oil palm plantation (n = 16).

pH and texture of soil data are based upon the mean of the samples collected in three soil profiles (at depth 0–60 cm) with four replicates each (n = 12). Cl = Clay; Si = Silt; Sa = Sand. LV = Luvisols; LX = Lixisols.
